Place the springboard down, and use it to bounce up to grab the coin.įor the last Star Coin, you'll need the springboard again. You'll soon see the second Star Coin flying in a circle at the top of the screen. Grab this and carry it onto the moving platform that's taking you through the level. Right after the checkpoint there is a ? block with a springboard inside. Stand on the right-hand one and jump to the left to reach the coin. The first Star Coin is above two block platforms that will rotate vertically when you approach them. There are 5 coins lined up vertically to guide you, though you might find you bounce into it by happy accident. The last Star Coin is at the very top of the screen, flying around in a circle. Wait until it goes all the way down - remembering to face Boohemoth so he doesn't advance too far - and you simply need to jump up to the ledge to grab the second Star Coin.Ī little later on, the ground will turn into a trampoline, bouncing Mario up into the air. Shortly after that, there's a platform that falls slowly when you stand on it. You'll have to be quick to get out before Boohemoth arrives, mind. Alternatively, turn to face Boohemoth from the platform to the right of the coin, then run and leap up to the left. From here, wall jump up and off the screen, fall to the right and grab the first Star Coin. Jump on it and wait until it is all the way to the right. Hurry, otherwise you'll be squashed against the ceiling.Ī short time after Boohemoth starts chasing you, you'll find a blue/purple block that moves left and right. Then, when all the pillars are down, run and jump to the right to grab the last Star Coin. When the left column is all the way down, wall-kick your way up. Ride the large square block on the left, then jump over to the tall rectangle in the middle, and finally take the small square block on the left to grab the second Star Coin.īefore the door to the boss, there are spiked columns that descend from above. Enter it to find an area with moving platforms. Crouch and it'll carry you into the small cubby hole where the coin lies.Ī short way after the checkpoint you'll see a door on your left. The first Star Coin is procured by riding on top of the moving wall at the top left. From here, carefully jump across the platforms without falling to grab the last Star Coin. When the middle platform is at its highest point, run and jump to the right and onto the blocks. Later in the level, there are three lifts that move up and down.
You can also use Raccoon Mario to hit the block if you have a Super Leaf. Throw it at the exposed POW Block and make your way to the Star Coin. Grab a Buzzy Beetle shell and take it all the way back to the left. Wait for the Piranha Plants to retract, and fall down the left shaft to reach the first Star Coin.Īfter leaving that area, you can find the second Star Coin to the left. Once you hit the POW Block, you'll then be able to enter the lower pipe. If you miss, just head left a little and return and the Buzzy Beetle will reset. Jump on the Buzzy Beetle to get its shell, and climb on the bottom platform to throw it at the POW Block. Just afterwards you'll see two platforms that move up and down. You won't find any Star Coins until you reach the checkpoint.
